Bio

So I have been a Nurse for more than 22 years, mostly all in the ER.  I had done a few transports here and there and 1 helicopter transport but it wasn't until my Hospital started it's own program about 2 years ago that I officially would consider myself a transport Nurse.  I have recently taken a 2nd job as a CCTRN and do ground transports for them as well.

I also am a volunteer at the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber located in Two Harbors, Catalina, just off the coast of Southern California.  It is close to some of the busiest diving spots and operates 24/7 with 4 crew on a strictly voluntary basis.  I believe we are the only chamber that is available to treat pts on a 20 min recall time. We live nearby in an apartment just waiting for calls or we are doing training runs, classes, research or testing of dive equipment.

If I am not working or volunteering, I am probably busy out on the gun range as I am also a competitive long range shooter.

I also teach ACLS, BLS and serve on the Hospital's Emergency Mangement Committee as well.

I am in the process for studying for my CFRN... Any tips would be greatly appreciated
